This is the best place for elderly in south carolina. People who work here really love what they do and everyone goes the extra mile to make sure the folks are cared for right. The place is clean and well renovated, staff will greet you with a smile and it just feels right here.
This facility allows harmful employees to "take care" of mentally and physically incompetent folks. I''m not sure who is in charge, but that is where the changes should take place first. Read moreMy mom was there. She has passed away now, gone to heaven. She had the best care at NHC. The food was good. She was bathed, dressed, and totally cared for. All the staff was wonderful! They were great when I called and when I was visiting they were all so nice. NHC, thank you! 💝
They wont return calls. I have left messages with Admissions and a unit manager over the past month to call me back and they never did. That’s scary if you have a family member there. Terrible service!!! Very pathetic!
It''s really a good home for older people
My mom is in the facility right now. She just had a pacemaker put in and has two autoimmune diseases that cause her extreme pain. Last night the last night the female nurse decided to dump a whole load of nursing home neglect upon my mother. Since mom''s been in there she''s been coughing like crazy...
My mom is in the facility right now. She just had a pacemaker put in and has two autoimmune diseases that cause her extreme pain. Last night the last night the female nurse decided to dump a whole load of nursing home neglect upon my mother. Since mom''s been in there she''s been coughing like crazy. The nurse brought her some cough syrup. Mom told her it was burning her throat and the nurse got very condescending with my mother and told her it''s over the counter and there is no way could be burning my mom''s throat. My mom had her esophagus stretched while they were putting the pacemaker in. It is very raw right now. The nurse got very condescending and told my mom there was no way it could be burning her throat. Mom told her, "it is burning my throat and I know what I''m talkin about and I''m not going crazy it burns". The nurse still insisted that there was no way it could burn her. And then the nurse decided to completely ignore my mom for the rest of her shift. My mom did not receive pain medication for hours upon hours. She lay in that bed suffering. Thank God for nurse practitioner Charity Manning who came in today because she is over a few of the facilities of nhc. Charity who happens to be my childhood friend apparently disciplined this nurse. I am absolutely livid about the treatment my mother received from the night shift nurse. If she did this to my mother she will do it to your mother or father if they are in the facility. I wish I knew who the nurse was so I could warn you about her. But dear God please,please do not put your loved one in this facility under any circumstances. I''m absolutely sick that I had to give this facility even one star to get this review up to warn you all.
