If you have a loved one that is bedridden, DON''T put them here unless you can be there 24/7 hopefully you can find someone to help when you need it. It''s like these poor people are out of sight out of mind. Totally forgotten. Not caring if they need changing or even fed. Most importantly needing water. They would be treated better in jail.

Under no circumstances should you consider sending your loved one to NHC unless you are prepared for the possibility of them not surviving. My own family experienced the tragic loss of one member and nearly lost another before we made the decision to transfer them out of NHC. The facility neglected to administer essential medications, neglected therapy sessions, allowed them to remain in soiled diapers, and left them with unexplained bruises. It is imperative that the doors of this facility be firmly closed, and its license be revoked to prevent further harm.

My LATE partner was there for 10 days. Had to go back to hospital (where he passed away) because of the severe case of candida (yeast infection) he developed while in NHC. It wasn’t noticed by staff until I pointed it out. By then, it was too late. He also once sat in his soiled diaper for over 45 minutes until a staff member tended to him. Like another reviewer said, if you can’t take care of your basic necessities yourself, you’re in trouble. Doesn’t even deserve one star.
