Mulberry Gardens Memory Care is the one that wanted the down payment to be put on the list. I didn't feel like the person who gave me that tour did a good job of selling the place. She didn't seem excited or happy to do it. I just thought she didn't do a very good job. We didn't get to see any activity going on. They had some kind of program on one side of the memory care place, but she took us through the other side, so we weren't seeing any activity or seeing how the people were responding or anything. We saw a room, and it was pretty sparse. It was just a basic room with a bed and a dresser and that was it. The staff said she could work with us (whatever that meant), but it was with a thousand-dollar nonrefundable deposit, and that was a total turnoff. The building itself looked very nice. The physical layout from the outside looked fine. Everything seemed clean, but we didn't see happy people.

We have chosen to go to Mulberry Gardens Memory Care. I like the fact that it is a self-contained building that deals with nothing but memory care. It's beautiful and local. It's very convenient to me, just 10 minutes away. I've heard good reviews from other people, and I had a walk-through and interview with them. The staff was very friendly, very helpful, and open to any questions that I had. They even made some suggestions for me. It was very clean, very open, and well taken care of.

My tour at Mulberry Gardens Memory Care was awesome. It's beautiful and the people were very helpful, and I've heard good reviews. They're not as expensive as the rest of them are, they're cheaper, but not too cheap. It's all on one floor, and it has four landscaping gardens that were absolutely beautiful. The facility is brand new. My stepdad has dementia and he refuses to even step into the place. They tried to get him for free lunch but he would not do it. But with the help of the people that work there, I'm able to do what I need to do for him and get him in there safely. That one staff lady called when she was sick at home with food poisoning, and that's dedication to me; she's wonderful.

My tour at Mulberry Gardens Memory Care has been very positive and responsive. They are very responsive to our calls or text messages and answer questions. They have been very accommodating to our family and they have treated us and my mother extremely well. The staff was wonderful, they were very attentive, they welcomed us, and they are very observant and engaging. The highlight was when we went in for a tour, they had lunch set up for all of us. That was one of the determining factors why we're choosing them, that my mom absolutely loved the food and we did too. The food was excellent, and the chef came out and served us, talked to us, and engaged us. She talked about the food for several days after that, so that was a big plus. They have multiple open areas for people to come and visit, and for the residents to sit, watch TV, or read books. They have areas for people who maybe like to work on the garage and mechanical things, they have a little garage-type area set up. They have a nursery area set up for the residents who want to care for the baby dolls, they're free to carry them around and take care of them. They have trips that they take, they go to lunch, they get ice cream, they have activities every day, they sit and do puzzles, and they help make baked goods at times. So there are a lot of things for them to do. Another reason we chose this place was the price, it was all-inclusive, it included medical and everything. And the people that we worked with were all excellent. We liked that the facility was on a smaller scale, the feel of it was like her house. It was very, very well-taken care of, I like the layout, it was simple but comfortable. I liked that it was on one floor and they had it separated into two sections. They had two different activity areas and two different eating areas, but they all come together at certain times on both sides.

Mulberry Gardens Memory Care was a beautiful facility. We visited that one. We were going to take my mom there. It was a half hour from my house, and the facility was gorgeous. The people were very nice. We liked everything about it. However, they wouldn't accept my mom as a resident. It was very pretty inside. We never really were able to get my mom there, but I was very impressed with the setting of the whole facility and its overall appearance. It just sets the tone of a very pleasant environment for my mom. The people were very pleasant as well. Their rooms were your average-sized room. It was nice because they have bathroom facilities in all the rooms (a full bathroom with a shower), and that was nice, too. We were looking for that. It looked beautiful, very clean, well-kept, painted, and not bruised walls or anything like that. It was very, very nice.
