Mountain Vista Senior Living is a clean good place. They have many choices of rooms. The person who assisted me was excellent. He answered all my questions, was straightforward, and was personable. He was great. They have activities, but I couldn't list them because generally, my dad is not a joiner. They have a physical therapy area, a garden area, an exercise room, and a music room. They have transportation available. It was very impressive. Everything was clean.

I didn't find anything that I liked about Mountain Vista Senior Living (Vista Village). It was very dated and it seemed cold. I didn't see any residents out in the halls or visiting or anything. We got there at 12:05, and there was not one person in the dining room, and I was kind of curious about that because the staff said that the lunch was from 11:30 to 12:30, and there wasn't anybody in the dining room. That was concerning to me. The rooms were filthy and dirty. The carpet was horrible. She said that they would have them cleaned, but what stuck in my mind was how dirty the carpets were. I suggest that they just clean the place up. The stairs were carpeted and there was a lot of stuff on the stairs that needed to be vacuumed. I didn't get a good vibe. The staff during the tour didn't seem very professional. She had slippers on and we were going for our tour. I wasn't impressed overall at all. I didn't see anybody participating in any of the amenities when we were there at lunchtime. I thought I would've been able to see somebody somewhere.

We had an in-person tour of Mountain Vista Senior Living. Their staff was very kind, helpful, and explained their processes easily. They're one that we're going to keep on the list. We liked them. The facility was very clean and very nice. The rooms are spacious. The Medicaid section, which is the area that requires more personal care, was a little bit more like a hospital feel with hospital beds and things. It's not that it's bad. It just felt a little bit more like a facility than a personal apartment or personal space.

Mountain Vista Senior Living was a very inviting environment. The admissions director, Jason, was wonderful in explaining how the community works and the services available. It looked like it had been fairly renovated recently. So, they tried to keep it as homey as they could. The rooms were spacious. The community areas within the building were also very spacious and full of light. It wasn't dark at all. We visited the memory care and all of the people that we came in contact with were very friendly. The random employees that were coming in and out of the building all said hello. It was a little dated, but all in all it was a clean facility for sure. They've got activities every day within the facility as well as outings (going to movies and/or shopping once a week).
