I can’t say enough good things about Oak Harbor staff. Kind, caring and compassionate. You get the feeling they treat your family member just as they would one of their own. The physical building is older and in need of some updates, but the care and attention far outweighs any needed updates.

My mother had an exceptional experience with Oakharbor. We had a horrible experience with the hospital before being admitted to Oakharbor, which had me in my feelings about the future care for my mom. I came close to discharging her the same day, due to miscommunication. Prayerfully my mother stayed and it turned out to be the Best decision I could’ve made in her behalf. “Angel” is thee BEST. It’s all in her name. Loving, thoughtful, compassionate, have fellow feelings, shows personal interest. I can go on and on. This lady appealed to the hearts of me and my husband. I was told my mother would be treated like family and she was. The Therapist were very much hands on. My mother had slurred speech, could not walk, eat, hold anything on her own, but when she was Discharged I was beyond satisfied. All the Nurses were kind and attentive to my mother needs. I can go on and on, but if you’re looking for a place to send your loved one that will treat them as such, Oakharbor is the place you want
