I applied as a Dietary Aide through a staffing agency that was helping with my info, scheduling, and communication with them. Only got an interview through the phone and never got to meet them in person which is odd enough? I put October 20th as my start date and they called my staffing coordinator asking if I can start earlier and I said to them no but they didn’t really understand my response because they asked the same question not once, not twice, but three times to start before Oct. 20th. Totally disrespectful but mostly unprofessional to ask the same question repeatedly when you know my response will be same every time. It’s Oct. 20 and I haven’t received any phone calls, text messages, or emails from them or the staffing agency for 2 days so I called my staffing coordinator about starting the job because I was afraid if I still had a job or something. My staffing coordinator called me back and Mother of Mercy told them that they don’t need any Dietary Aides anymore. So I wasted my valuable time and energy for nothing. Don’t waste your potential to people that have poor communication and management history like Mother of Mercy did to me.

I worked on the assistant living side for over a year as a CNA. I can honestly say they have the worst management I have experienced. They are constantly understaffed because the truth is... they just don’t pay there workers. Mother of Mercy is the lowest paying facility in the area. Even with my CNA license my wage was 12.25. That is simply not enough for living costs. Food for though: kwik trip starts people off at 13.50 an hour with raises coming in every so often up until 15.00 an hour. The starting wage at mother of Mercy Is 12.00. If you have your CNA license, they raise your wage a QUARTER. In the end I feel they don’t care about there employees and have a terrible turn over rate.
