My father lived here for many years until he died at the end of December. Morningside owes us a balance of over $5000. They initially told us they would be mailing this check. We have not received that check. Now when we call no one returns our calls. You should be aware as you''re shopping around when a company refuses to return your calls over money matters that they cannot be trusted. This is a poor business practice. It''s also impossible to find anyone''s email address, like a director or a ceo, to move this matter up the chain. I will happily remove my review this company refunds what they owe us. They also have a terrible insect problem and one of the nurses refused to give my father in law Morphine in his dying days instead letting him suffer in fear. So take that as you want.

My mother-in-law has been at Morningside for about a month. We just visited her and were so impressed with the care she is receiving. The bedrooms are bright, modern and very clean. The staff are kind and wonderful with initiating conversation. There are activities scheduled throughout the day that the residents have the option to attend. Meals are served in a spacious dining room and residents often make friends with their table mates. The residents I spoke to all shared they enjoyed the food and not having to eat alone. What I loved was the courtyard that was accessible from the hallway and some bedrooms. So lovely to be able to sit in the sun and enjoy nature in a safe setting.

In December of 2020 my father was diagnosed with stage iv brain cancer and given a year to live with surgery and treatment. Thankfully he had a successful surgery but unfortunately he was left somewhat impaired from the cancer and treatment. When he returned home after rehab readjusting was very difficult for him and my mother, though she really wanted to take care of him it was just too much for her. Morningside was the solution we needed. Before my father moved in I was worried he would feel abandoned, lonely and out of place but I soon found out those concerns were very much mistaken. When I visited him at Morningside I found the staff to be cheerful and helpful, my father always had a big smile on his face when an aide would pop in to check on him and he would invariably tell them they were "the best", which I''m sure he meant every time but he probably forgot there were a lot of "the bests" working at Morningside. The residents were very welcoming to him even though the cancer left him difficult to understand. He was always telling me about some new friend or other he had made at dinner. It saddened me greatly that he wasn''t able to live in his home any longer but after some first month jitters I was relieved that we had found a new home and community for him at Morningside. I especially want to thank all of the staff and residents who gave us so much support and kindness in the final weeks of his life. I know from the many heartfelt conversations I shared with the staff that everyone there genuinely cared for him. There were quite a few staff who told me with sincere affection he was "their baby." The ladies who lived on his hall always had the kindest words of support for us, which made me feel a little better in a very hard time and were much appreciated. With no exaggeration the last year and 4 months has been the most difficult period of my life, it goes without saying that my father''s passing has been a very sad time for me but I''m also sad to move on from all of you at Morningside. Its been a long hard year and a half since my father was diagnosed, my most sincere thanks to all of you for making it a little friendlier, a little more comfortable, a little safer and most of all for making my father and family feel at home in your community.

I had called Morningside a couple months ago and spoke with Christine. Kind of explained my situation when my father to her so I wasn’t really sure at the time with care he really needed. I had contacted just about everybody in town I could contact and a lot of of them I left messages and nothing no return calls or anything, but I want to give a huge shout out to Christine at Morningside community because she was diligent about staying in touch with me and finding out the progress with my father She would touch base with me regularly. Finally they went and did an assessment and he didn’t qualify with what their community can offer him but I just want to shout out to her for her due diligence and going over and beyond to try and help me. thank you so much Christine It meant more to me than you’ll ever know And quite clearly this is an indication of the caring people and the facility Kudos
