I was at Midwestern Healthcare Center today with my sister-in-law to ask for information for a possible admission for my brother-in-law. The lady in the business office had only been there for three weeks but you would not have ever guessed. She was very helpful answering all questions to our satisfaction. I have hearing loss and she was very patient with me as well. We did not have an appointment but she visited with us at length, never making us feel hurried in any way. She included a conference call with a Medicaid representative to provide added support for our inquires. A very comfortable and pleasant experience considering the circumstances.

Please unlock the door or have someone responsible for opening it! It would be great if the residents who have dementia were reminded to drink and always have access to liquids.

This is facility that cares for it''s residents. I can say this as a nurse with over 35 years of experience, as well as a former employee. Nursing facilities should be judged by the people who work there, and how they care for, and care about the residents, not just by fancy advertisements, furniture, or the outward appearance. Midwestern Healthcare is a quality facility, capable of addressing any needs your loved one may have. Not just saying they can, as most all facilities do, but actually providing quality care and all that it entails, from the quality of the food, to Edwin Holland (marketing liaison), they make sure all residents receive the best care obtainable, and in a caring, professional way. You can do worse, but cannot find a better place for your loved one in need of such care and services!
