The room was spacious and that''s where the one star comes in. My mother was there after a complicated fracture. She could not walk or put weight on her leg. She need help to the bathroom and was told on no less than 6 occasions that they could not help because they were short staffed and to soil the bed and they would get her cleaned up. Each time they made her wait in soiled bedding for upwards of an hour causing sores on her bottom. They withheld prescribed pain meds and would not respond to her call button. If they cannot adequately staff the facility they shouldn''t be open. When concerns were brought up with staff about the neglect, they just said "Well we are short staffed and there''s nothing we can do." I would never refer anyone to this facility.

Hello, my name is Kim. My Mother resides at Medilodge of Port Huron. I''d like to express my gratitude to all of the staff that cares for my Mom. She has been there many years and they have all learned her ups and downs, her likes and dislikes. I''m glad there are many workers that care for her like family, since we cannot in person visit at this time. If you are looking to place a family member I highly recommend this facility. They have kept my Mom safe through this whole Covid problem. The whole team gets onboard when any problem arises. I like that. Thank you Sincerely, Kim B.
