My grandfather spent a month and a half here before he died. His POA didn't move him in time, and Meadow Brook didn't contact his successor POAs even though it was a matter of life or death. During his time at Meadow Brook, he went from walking and pushing other people in wheelchairs to being in a wheelchair himself--more than likely due to the Meadow Brook's near-complete lack of memory care activities, its emphasis on apartment-style living that increases isolation, and its use of benzodiazepines/pharmacological restraint in general (something I questioned in particular that they refused to respond to unlike other facilities I asked). As my dad put it from what he saw multiple times in the memory care wing’s (beautiful) day room: “They were all zombies who couldn’t even hold their heads up.” My grandfather fell 12 times (that we know of) in his month and a half at Meadow Brook. He developed acute encephalopathy, a subdural hematoma, at least one UTI and was sent to a psychiatric hospital to get his “meds figured out." Please don't send your loved one to this facility for memory care. It’s a beautiful place, but looks can be deceiving.

They are in a great location and offer a very competitive price structure. I love this place and would highly reccommend!
Read moreThe staff and residents at Meadow Brook are friendly and outgoing. They were helpful when my dad fell. The outside dog area is a nice feature. The nurse who bandages him up did a great job to ensure he was safe. I would recommend them to other families.
Meadow Brook was a nice facility but admitted they had a shortage of staff issues. They were not going to be able to accommodate my loved ones over-night needs.
We visited Meadow Brook Senior Living. It was very nice, but it was just too far for us. They have very similar facilities to the other place we toured. The staff that gave us the tour was the community director or sales manager, and she was fairly new. They had washers and dryers in the units.

Also, I didn't meet the nursing staff and they didn't have 24-hour nursing care in the evening. They only had a QMA, which would not let my mom qualify for her long-term health insurance (and that was a big thing for me).
