My mom has been there for a year now, and am very happy with her care. Also trying to get my dad there. The nursing home he is at is terrible

My brother was sent there with no food or drinks for 3 days until we screamed to send him back to the hospital for an IV hook up. He was placed in their tv room and just sat there while the staff never attended to all the patients sitting there. People just sat there calling out but no one came. They lost his phone, but found by a friend who works there. Terrible situation
Read moreI called just a few minutes ago to find out my friend’s room number. I could not understand what she said so I said “pardon me “ So when she repeated it I she was yelling it!! You need to hire people with customer service!!! Hopefully I never have to go there!!!!!
I worked here, it’s very unsanitary and they literally go back and forth with nonverbal and dementia residents it’s sick.

Patients words- " its a nightmare, like prison". should say it all. Stear clear of this place at all cost. Staff has short snippy attitudes, places patients in the hall to "keep eye on you" all day where patient has spine pain(they massively undertreat pain) in a chair. Easter dinner was not even easter related, admin & or pace failing on keeping appointments, tests, surgery. Transportation to & from is ghost like- maybe they show, likelynot. Patient had hives snd staff told them oh just go back to sleep. Patient could of been given a cold wet rag but undertrained & untrained "care" is common. Regular meals in room for days bcuz staffing, meals themselves are sandwiches veggie soup(sana veggies). Inconsiatent quality of care and dismissive of patients rights needs asks. Takes days to get a simple tums. Seems only ones in charge r miles away at chs corporate & theyre not to be bothered. Denying patient discharge when patient self transfers, toilets, dresses, ambulates and labeled "independent". Hearing staff verbally snarky, rude abrasive for patient being 9lindependent & its unacceptable. Sent them home already. No 24 hr care necessary. Its not 24 hr care in the nh so whats the dif? Needs 2-3 homecare aides but chs medicare ny state too cheap. Not our problem. Find homecare, discharge. Hope nobody will never sign up for chs or any PACE program either. Medicare advantage plans are gutting medicare nonstop. Figure out a way to keep your loved one home never end up in a nursing home in america.
