This place is good to work ,
Another level of care. Morgan and her team have done a terrific job with our dad. The memory care has made a real difference for our dad. The facility is resort like. Highly recommended.

My mother moved to Mattison about 14 months ago. After touring many places I chose Mattison for price, everyone was so nice, loved the front porch, and the services. Unfortunately, we have not had greatexperiences since then. This is my only experience with assisted living so maybe I am being naive. But I have found a huge gap in communication between the director, nurses and aids. We have had multiple issues with food delivery (I have had to call and also leave work to find out where her meals were) and packages being delivered. As she is mostly bedridden she relies on me sending packages and they are delivered to her room. Just as recently she was told by an aid (the day they used the last one) that she needed more bed pads. I paid for same day delivery, they were delivered and signed for at 12:30pm and 2 1/2 days later no where to be found until I went to Mattison myself. I understand things happen but this is not the first time by any means. My mother is difficult to deal with and not always nice but the price has gone up for her care quite a bit (over $1000 a month) so I feel like we are paying for those things to be dealt with. Alot of staff turnover since we have been here as well. A handful of exceptional aids and more whom are not great but unfortunately I don''t have an alternative care option right now. Maybe this is how alot of assisted livings are run at this price point.

Mattison Crossing at Manalapan Avenue was very nice. It's a lot bigger of a facility than where my dad is. The people were very nice. They sent their bus over to the rehab my dad was in to bring him over. But the guy who drove them wasn't too thrilled about having to go get them, and he made it known, which I thought was rude. The lady was very nice, and so were the nurses. The dining room was huge, and I think it might be a little bit overwhelming. When you walk in, you look like you're in a big restaurant. There are a lot more people there. They had a lot of activity. They had a movie theater room, a nice gym, and a big room if the family wanted to get together. It was a nice place. It was a lot older, but they kept it up nicely. They had long hallways. There were elevators because they had different floors. They had studios and a one-bedroom apartment. The two-bedroom apartment was still kind of small. The kitchen area is very tiny. This place had a ledge to get into the bath, so you'd have to step over it.

Our mom moved into Mattison Crossing at a time when her entire world/life had been turned upside down. Previous to Mattison Crossing, mom had been in a rehab facility where little progress had been made, where depression and anxiety sunk in, and where she had been told she would never return to an independent lifestyle. However within a few short weeks with the care and kindness from the entire Mattison Crossing team of caring professionals, mom proved them wrong. She has remarkably returned to an independent lifestyle. At Mattison Crossing mom does not feel as if she is just another resident. While residing here she is warmly greeted, welcomed, and acknowledged by name from administration, staff, and the entire team; she has made new friends, and she takes advantage of the numerous daily activities and services offered. Mattison Crossing is now her new home where she can continue to thrive, flourish, and maintain a positive lease on life!
