Manor Lake Gainesville is just about 10 minutes from where we live, so we will be able to get to my mom quickly to see her and visit her a lot. It was brighter, more cheerful, and had a happier feeling to it. The person that gave the tour was amazing. Her name was Christy and she's just so knowledgeable. The staff doesn't have a lot of turnovers, so most of the people have been there since it first opened. It was impressive to see the way they work together and that they chose to stay. She was walking us through and knew everybody's name. All the residents spoke to her, too. We're going into a studio and they are updating them with hardwood floors. I liked the menus and the choices they had. They have a huge board in the lobby that shows the things they do every day. They have exercises, a movie theater where they show movies to the residents, and pastors that come in to do Bible study and services. They also have garden plots out back where their residents can plant things and harvest them, which was neat.

I feel like they do a good job with my family member. I find them to be very attentive and thorough. Our family is very comfortable with her being there, which says a lot. It's a very clean community, and they offer a lot of good activities. I would recommend them.

My dad enjoys the food very much. The calendar of activities is great.
