Miscommunication
If you have a loved one that you want to make sure is well cared for and respected, The Manor would be an excellent choice. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. We made a great choice with our loved one.

After reading all of the positive reviews we were very comfortable that this was going to be a good stay for our mom. It is clean and nice inside. My issues were with horrible communication by everyone assisting our mother. We asked for and did not receive any communication and had to chase down every update. Not one time was I able to speak to the Doctor Who was supposedly treating our mother. Apparently they visit once a week. If you need rehab services I would look elsewhere as it doesn’t seem to be the priority. One positive was the nurses. They did seem to take good care of her and actually care about her health. I don’t typically leave poor reviews but I think it’s important in this case.

My father has been a resident of the Elfindale community for 5 years. They always promoted the continuity of being able to go from one facility to the other as your care needs increased. My father fell and broke his hip and was going to need rehabilitation therapy for a few weeks. They (the Manor) denied admitting him and we are now forced to look elsewhere. The one time he needed their help they refused. It appears their true nature came through.

We were disappointed to have Sunterra turn down taking care of my fully insured mother because they were worried that billing would get complicated due to circumstances beyond our control. Mom was hit by a car as a pedestrian in the Lowe’s parking lot. My sweet 85 year old mother gets rejected because it may cause their clerical some work. What was really disappointing about this was that mom liked the physical therapist from Sunterra who worked with her in the hospital. Their loss. Everyone loves my mom.
