Radiology front desk is horrible. I hope to never go there again. I''m not sure if they are properly trained or just incompetent at addressing patient concerns. Called several times for records, promised call back, my doctor called and requested info, records were never sent.
Brought my mother in for chest pain and pain going down her left side. There is no urgency. The waiting room is not full. They go by first come first serve. Not the severity of the situation. The waiting room is dirty, paint is peeling. I will never bring my mother to this hospital again

I had a knee replacement surgery June 28, of this year and the nurses and doctors were very Professional, the nurses were very Compassionate and Careing, I felt bad because I had to keep ringing for a nurse to help me to the bathroom! They kept telling me that is what we are here for to help you, that meant so much to me, I also thought that the Food was Delicious and always filled me up. Hats off to the whole STAFF! I also think that the Hospital needs to put more nurse''s on a shift when they are short handed, it happened when I was there , I felt so bad for them , it wasn''t the nurses fault but sometimes it took a little longer for them to come to me because of the short handed situations. I am getting my second surgery November 22 at Elmhurst Hospital , and then I go to MacNeal for in patient care and therapy

I had damaged my eye and was being sent to McNeil for Same Day Surgery to correct a torn retina. I was wheeled in the door to the emergency room we''re all paperwork had been completed prior to my arrival. I was given a mask and the usual forms. I was in their hands, being efficiently wheeled down Corridors to my destination. A team took vitals hooked me up to the ekg read my strip. I was then stripped and gowned reclined on a bed The staff moved in a well practiced choreography for a new arrival and soon Departed leaving one person in charge. With nothing to do but wait I had one concern and that was a cell phone with minimum battery my only link to the outside world that I would need when everything was finished. The nurse was kind enough to plug my phone in thank goodness this place was in the 21st century. I was good to go. Several hours passed this was an emergency procedure and I had eaten that needed to clear before anesthetics could be in ministers during this time any of my needs were addressed promptly. My comfort and well-being was their concern and they did a great job. Came time for the operation and the true professionals took over what do I remember not a thing they did a good job on putting me under recovery time was slow but pain medication was provided along with ice cold water a real thirst quencher time passed everybody stopped in to check their work and I was given the green light to go. My trusty cell phone was charged and I exited by being wheeled to a beautiful day outside. The thing that struck me about this place was there triage efficiency they worked as a team with few words everybody knew their job you could almost feel like you were ignored but you weren''t. I have been to other hospitals in my life and at first look this place had age upon leaving that age was converted to the knowledge of maturity. Not much to look at not all the fluff but a very efficient Hospital

This is where souls and spirits go to get irreparably crushed. For my privacy and to avoid detailing occurrences others may find confronting and upsetting, I won''t reveal medical conditions or many emotional mistreatment details, but know my experiences at this subpar (not in all specialties, just many) facility align with others'' descriptions of poor or even horrendous (mine was the latter) experiences here. While going to their labs for various tests is fine, an inpatient stay on the fifth floor of the building seen in my photos was highly detrimental. The mistreatment in a decrepit, decaying environment (think feces, mold, mildew, falling window coverings, and more) would be considered abusive or near-abusive by most, and it would certainly be damaging to all. My experience is from several days in 2017 when MacNeal was a Trinity Healthcare facility; however, rebranding as Loyola doesn''t change that experience, the fallout from which I still struggle viscerally daily. I''ll always remember being yelled at by staff, just as I''ll remember the physical intimidation and verbal threats. There''s little respect for the intrinsic value and dignity of fellow humans here. I''ve also noted that when there are replies to negative reviews of this chaotic hospital, the reviewer is told to "have a great day." When someone has serious issues with an entity like MacNeal Loyola Hospital and they express as much, they don''t want to hear "have a great day." No response would be better than a patronizing, dismissive, thoughtless "have a great day." This place has ruined many days, nights, weeks, months, and years. Don''t tell disgruntled, mistreated patients to have a great day, as it''s a bit late for that.

Horrible service since it''s part of loyola, central scheduling and receptionists are so lazy, first I come in and the receptionist forgets to check me in for an ultrasound, then the person who scheduled my ultrasound scheduled me for the wrong test, over an hour just to find out I had to reschedule. Like some of us don''t take off work for these appointments... Just unbelievable, been going to this hospital for over 18 years and sadly I guess it''s time to leave. Not their first mistake which is why I finally decided to add to the bad reviews
