I toured Lombard Place Assisted Living & Memory Care, and I liked it. I don't remember anything specifically that made me not choose this community. It just wasn't a good fit.

We would not recommend Lombard Place. A lot went wrong during our stay here. My loved ones purse and dentures went missing and we were not made aware of it for a week. The only reason we found out was because I came to visit and asked where they were. The floor was always sticky and it just never felt clean. There were never many staff around. All in all it was not a very good experience. This was back in 2021 though, so things may have changed since then...
Read moreWe had a wonderful tour experience with Lombard Place. The facility was absolutely beautiful and the staff were so friendly. For our situation, we were looking for a dedicated memory care facility - we thought that was going to suit our loved ones needs better.

My loved one was here for an extremely short time period; however, due to a behavioral issue the community sent my loved one to the hospital. The entire time the community told the family that our loved one would be able to come back to community. The hospital sent my loved one in an ambulance to the community, and then the community refused my loved one to be re-admitted to the community. I found this out once my loved one arrived, and then the Director of Nursing stated that the community couldn't take my loved one due to the meds. I agreed to remove the med from my loved one's regimen, and then they stated my loved one still couldn't come back.

The dining room staff are very nice and are dealing with a shortage of staff. Housekeeping is done once a week, laundry services are done once a week, bathing twice a week. My friend is involved in therapy and doing really well since she got there. They provide lots of activities like movies in their theater, coloring, etc. There is a nurse that started at the same time my friend was admitted and she has proven to be a great leader and supports the residents.

In the beginning, it was a little rough. When my loved one first moved in, there was a turnover in management. But everything worked itself out as far as getting her settled in. Right now, they are short-staffed, so there are a couple of issues around dining, which they are working to resolve. They've had good communication with our family, especially through Covid. Their safety protocols have been good. Overall we're very pleased with how they're handling things now.
