Staff is so compassionate and kind, deeply involved in patients all around care. Help always available to meet specific needs. PT offers great experiences for further physical growth or comfort. Recovery from physical problems is greatly enhanced. OT is also available to learn easier ways to take care of yourself and keep your independence. I will absolutely continue with outside PT here when I am released.

I liked everything about my short stay here, except the bed. The facility was attractive and clean, with no bad smells. The food was tasty. And the staff were caring and capable. On the negative side: I did experience a few micro aggressions by a small number of the staff; there were medication dispensing errors almost daily; and no exercise equipment could be used by the residents unless they were in a scheduled and supervised PT session. The latter was inconvenient, as I was recovering from a knee replacement and needed to do certain exercises daily, such as rotating my legs using bike pedals. The biggest negative, and the one that will prevent my coming here for my next knee replacement, was the painfully uncomfortable bed. It was like sleeping on slabs and bars and pokey things. I never achieved a deep, therapeutic rest. Instead, I would wake up every two hours or so and need to get out of bed and sit in a wheelchair for a while until the aches and pains in all my major joints subsided. It was stressful and exhausting. There were proposals for a bed or mattress replacement made almost daily by various members of the staff, but nothing ever came of it. I would think that bed comfort and deep sleep would be high priority for a facility whose mission is the recovery and physical care of the injured and frail. But other than that big negative and a few smaller problems, this facility seems well deserving of its good reputation.
