Stay away. I have a parent there because cannot afford to leave. Things get stolen from room, Food is terrible, they don’t respond to call button, cost goes up $150 every year and no improvements.

Yesterday I visited the facility as I am considering moving my mom there. I can tell you that I have been immersed into the assisted-living, elderly world for sometime now, and have had to learn a lot along the way. Most lessons have been tough. I thought that fancy artwork on the walls and modern fixtures were the answer For a better quality of life and I placed my mom in a facility not far from Legacy. Mom has dementia. Since I placed her in this hotel style luxury living facility, she has been isolated in their apartment style living, and she has declined mentally. It’s not about fancy fixtures . It’s more about feeling like you’re home. Like you feel accepted. Like you feel like you belong somewhere. Legacy has that grandma rocking porch type of feel to it. It’s comfortable there it’s quaint. The staff has all worked there for a long time which indicates that there is a culture from within that will mean so much to your loved one. I recommend this facility. Wish I had known about it before I placed Mom down the road. Also, I felt the staff was very welcoming and kind and excited about what they did which is not easy.

We were looking for a new place for our Mom so I called "A Place For Mom" and spoke with Sharon Rice who was extremely helpful with our search.. I hung up from Sharon and immediately received a call from Brenton Steiger at Legacy Ridge in Woodstock. He was Amazing!!!! Within days we were given a tour, had an apartment, were offered more care and above and beyond service for our Mom. It was a match made in heaven!!! Mom has friends, a FULL social calendar and is the happiest she has ever been in such a long time. The quality of care and concern she receives is priceless!!! We are all extremely grateful for Brenton and the staff at Legacy Ridge for their constant care, concern and attention to detail. Brenton goes out of his way to send us pictures of Mom during their many fun activities like baking, and also sends nice updates when he sees her walking instead of using her motorized scooter!
