Sister was there, rehab Jan 2023, new area. Nice. Carlos, business office, professional. Ashley, great nurse. Thanks maintenance, staff and Laurals.
I used to be employed here and the other staff was never around to help with the 2 person assists, I watched as how workers treated most of the residents, they always mandate,in my opinion I would NEVER let my loved one be cared for here!
If I could leave 0 stars, I would. Avoid this place...

Our mom was recently a patient at the Laurels. We were very unhappy with her care. We were continually asked if our mom was independent and when we replied no, they asked then how do we take her to the bathroom. Shouldn’t they know?! We had to ask for mom to be bathed. She only got one bed bath and one shower. Shouldn’t that be part of care for patients? I would think so. Mom wears hearing aids. They need to be put in a charged at night. There was a sign above her bed and one on her cupboard door. Most days when we got to moms room, her hearing aids we’re still in her ears from the day before and we’re dead. Such a simple thing yet they couldn’t even do that. When we learned of her discharge date, we advised the charge nurse that mom had a 10:30 appointment so we would be there by 10:00 to get her. I also advised the physical therapy supervisor. That was just fine. Well, we were there at 10:00 and I went to the nursing station to ask about discharge papers. I was then told they don’t discharge until 11:30. So we would have to return after her appointment. I guess there is a communication problem. So our advice is do not ever let your loved one go to the Laurels

Run as fast as you can from this facility. If you need help for your loved one, please do your research. They put themselves first and residents last. There are a few good workers there, nurses particularly. You want better for your family member. The good staff are overworked and treated poorly. So much so that us, as family members can see it. We removed our loved one as fast as we could. Don’t ever expect straight answers or a call back from the leaders of this facility. They are too good to talk to the family members of their patients.
Read moreI’m very happy with my rehab experience! I especially enjoy working with Amy. She is very friendly and easy to work with. The other great thing about being at The Laurels of Bedford are the new friendships I’ve made.
