It''s a wonderful feeling when the skilled Nurses take care of your loved loves like family. Latta Rd employees have shown so much love and kindness for each resident. Even the nurses It''s a home away from home. But one thing I have noticed is The current owner Hurlbutt has definitely made The staff feel less comfortable and more disposable. To me it''s all about a profit than making the working environment for nurses what it should feel like. It should feel like a home. It take someone with amazing hearts to watch over our elderly family. BUT I feel and have seen a change over the years. Management just don''t care about their highly loving skilled staff. These nurses treat everyone like family. They fight severe sorrow when a resident moves on yet they Management care less. When Management treats its staff the way they do it is definitely a ripple effect. Over all the Nurses get A+ while their their bosses get a F .

Like most nursing facilities like this, the pay is low and the nurses and aides are difficult to keep on staff due to this, Covid and difficult tenants like my Mom. The state through Medicaid pays minimal so the facility needs painting and some updating, but most of the people are on Medicaid which barely pays the staff. Unless you have lots of money these are the facilities that we have. The staff that are there are kind and helpful for my Mom. It is definitely better for her here where she receives regular meals and care than her staying at home and falling and forgetting to eat.
