I liked Trustwell Living at Kingswood Place. I felt that it was very, very secure, because you could open up one set of double doors, but you had to ring it. On the second set they let you in, and I thought that was very nice. The staff during the tour was very nice. There were some people eating, and I've seen a lady sitting in the lobby. I liked their efficiency/studio apartment. They sent me home an old menu so I could see what some of the meals were.

My brother is at Trustwell Living at Kingswood Place. We chose it because it's kind of a smaller place. They have about 50 residents and it was very clean. People were friendly and I just felt like it's a good spot for him. The staff are very friendly. It's homey. I have not tried the food, but my brother really likes it. They have a courtyard and an outdoor space where he can go outside with nice, comfortable chairs. They also have a big room where they can go in and watch movies, and a nice dining room.

Our tour of Kingswood Place was OK. It's a much smaller facility. They only have 50 rooms, which isn't a bad thing, but because it's really truly assisted living up through memory care, many of the residents were quite a bit older than my brother was going to be (which is going to happen just about anywhere, so I understand that). It was a little dated, but it was in a nice location. The staff was very, very nice. We didn't care about the setup of it. We didn't like the way it was laid out and how the room was laid out. The cost was a little higher than we had wanted, so that's kind of the not-so-great part about it. Overall, it was a nice place, but it wouldn't be one we would be considering. They need some updates. It was kind of aged in many ways. In the interiors, in the decorations, and in the common areas, they were kind of aged.

Read moreKingswood Place was showing its age. It looks dated, so I was very unimpressed, but it seemed to be a very caring community in assisted living. They were friendly and willing to engage in conversation.
The staff is friendly and professional. They are helpful and kind. They seem committed to doing the best they can all the time. They offer a sense of welcome and family when I'm there. I've never experienced any staff member seeming upset or stressed out, which is very important for the residents. [...

[name removed] is a very good director who stays in communication and is good at problem solving. We are looking forward to having a new head nurse at the facility.
