I want to share the wonderful experience my mother and I while she lived at Sunrise Studio City. The staff from GM Shawn, Care manager Clifton and his staff, Jinky, Erica, April and the rest, and the did an excellent job taking care of my mothers medical needs. They followed up with outside care givers and provided additional support when needed. I rarely had to ask for care for my mother, they had already addressed it. When I did it was taken care of right away. The daily care team led by Paloma was wonderful. They made sure my mother was comfortable and all her needs were met. As my mother needed more support in areas I would have been very uncomfortable with I could see that the amazing Sunrise staff just took care of it without me having to ask. The dining was excellent thanks to Chef Roy and service lead Sonia. The concierge staff was always on hand to answer any questions or address any needs. I want to thank all of the staff of Sunrise Studio City for the compassion and care you provided my mother. Thank you.

Sunrise of Studio City was beautiful. It's aesthetically pleasing and very, very nice. The only thing I didn't like was that it was extremely expensive for my particular needs. Still, they were great. Gabrielle gave us the tour and she was very helpful and very nice. They had a salon, a theater room, a recreation room, and handicrafts. They're one of those places where they did not supply furniture for a respite. So, I would have to pay additional rental for furniture or bring my own furniture in. That was another minus point for the place itself even though it was a wonderful place.

My mother-in-law has moved into Sunrise of Studio City. She went there without the correct meds for her. She had some outbreaks, and so they did a fairly good job of getting her on the right meds as quickly as possible. All the caregivers there were super nice and attentive; I think it's going well. The rooms are nice, it's clean. You have to provide all your own furniture and toiletries and all those kinds of things. The food looks good. She has a shared restroom, which is fine; It's very clean. They have a common area like a living room, and they have a place you can sit with just your family to visit. They have a private room if you want to have a party, and they have lots of activities throughout the day. It's expensive but they all are.

I am responding to Jan Neurauter review written on 10/20/2020. Jan is upset with Sunrise due to them following Company, family guidelines, and HIPPA laws. Without getting too far in the weeds Jan comments are incorrect. Unfortntly, people sometimes have a hard time separating their emotional feelings from reality. For that reason I will not go into all the details of this poster as it serves no positive end. I am writing this review today to give high phrase to Sunrise of Studio City. My Dad has been a resident of Sunrise for 4 years. In writing this review I reflect back to when I was looking for assisted living for my Dad. I want to first say the emotional process is the last thing you want for your love ones. From the very beginning my dad has had a wonderful experience at Sunrise. Like everyone in this environment there are good days and bad days. Some days he is just not interested in help. They (Sunrise) really understand my dad and give him great overall care. They encourage him and try and do things at the speed he feels comfortable with. Because I am fortunate enough to live around the corner I am at Sunrise a lot. I am an active part of the Sunrise community and visit with my Dad on a regular basis. The staff knows me and knows that my number one priority is my Dads care and well being. While visiting I review his progress and at times his regressions. My father is content and feels safe at Sunrise. He feels well taken care of. I agree with my dads assessment. My father in general was not a very trusting person by nature and has learned that he does need assistance in his daily life at age 89 and has learned to accept help when needed. This is 180 degrees from when my dad first started at Sunrise. In closing not only would I recommend Sunrise of Studio City I have at times mentioned with the staff to save me a room. Getting old and having dementia is not the fairy tale ending we all think about when we''re younger. However, the reality is there is a huge need for our aging population. Sunrise has provided that need for our family and has done so in a graceful way.
