We went to Ingleside Homes Inc. yesterday. The tour was very informal. The staff took us around and showed us everything available for my brother to participate in. The rooms were very clean and roomy. They take trips to Wal-Mart, and they go to beaches. They have a movie theater and games. They do all kinds of stuff. It was very good to know that they had all that available. The building itself was good and clean, and everything was orderly. They have a lawn, a game room, and a library, too. They have books that have big letters so it is not hard for you to read. They have a lot of good stuff going on in there.

I toured Ingleside Homes, Inc and it's looking very promising; I think it's gonna be a good fit. I was very pleased with what I saw; the tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and was interested in finding the best match for my mother. They seemed to be focused on continuous improvement. They have a hairdressing salon, a piano lounge, they have a garden, terraces with rockers, 3 meals a day, and laundry services. There seems to be a lot to keep the seniors entertained and engaged, and their location provides for some very lovely views of the reservoir and the gardens behind them. There are some pandemic accommodations so they've got tables in the front for temperature taking and etcetera. They're about to renovate their lobby; their 1-bedroom apartment is very nice.

My family moved in there [date removed] and it was the WORST decision we could have made. When we did the interview we liked it, we also asked about bed bugs and were told they didnt have any. Bug fat lie to our faces. After we moved in in less than a week I was being bite. My mom wasn’t sure till a few weeks later when her and my step dad were being torn up. We went theough many “treatments” and the building got sprayed MANY times. This place is INFESTED! It took 9 MONTHS for the bed bug issue to start to resolve when they finally decided to bring an exterminator from outside into their apartment. Now they havent had any issues but we are expecting them to come back due to the entire building being infested. Also its STILL a Covid-19 spot and has been for MONTHS. There are residents who dont wear masks at all or wear them incorrectly and theres also some staff that are wearing it incorrectly or completely are disregarding it. The top floor (where we are) in the last month had 3cases of covid and 2 non covid deaths. Thats just the top floor! On top of that even when winter season was around there was NEVER any saftey precautions taking for the parking lot and sidewalks. Not once during winter or fall or these constant storms have they iced the road or sidewalks, i dont think ive ever seen it plowed. Just today i watched as one of the empolyees was having issues walking through the snow and slush that had occured even though they could have shoveled the snow or put ice down at any point in the past 2 days when we knew we were going to get snow. The company/homes whatever it is shows blantent disrespect and disregard for the people they reside there and work there. They also show no care for the safety of ANYONE in the building or outside the building much less to the actual people that live there. This is by far the WORST retirement place ive seen, and that cna friends have ever seen too. This place needs to be shut down.

I'm here at Ingleside Homes. When I first moved in, I thought it was nice, but now they've got too many other residents in here who sell drugs, so I want to get out immediately. They offer home health aide if you need it, and they do Section 8. It's cafeteria eating. They give some residents a refrigerator and a microwave, but if you are independent you have to provide for yourself. The people who are in charge of the facility are excellent, but the home health aides stole from me. There were too many drugs in there, that's why I want to move out, but they're trying to do something about it. The food is fair. Because of the pandemic, it's not as good as it used to be because you have to eat in your room, and they give you your breakfast the night before like cereal and juice, nothing really hot. The menu is not great right now. After COVID maybe they'll be OK. It's clean.
Read moreMy sister is adjusting to Ingleside. The food is ok. Not much fresh fruit or vegetables. The biggest problem is bed bugs. She is also trying very hard to her vision loss.
