I''m not one to rant too often but when incompetence affects my Mother...all gloves are off. The nursing and Health care at Homestead of Collinsville has been, without question, above par for the last 100 days. The administrative support in helping her get long-term care has been a totally different story. No returned phone calls, no support whatsoever with the medicaid process. We picked that facility because of the medicare ratings and the administrator at the time was extremely helpful. That administrator has now moved on and the finance director has been as unresponsive as an empty water bottle. On the next to the last day, they tell my sister, Rita that Mom goes on private pay in 2 days... after telling me for 2 months not to worry about it... All I can say is, if mother ever needs full-time care again, it won''t be provided there.
