BEWARE OF THIS FACILITY! Rude and incompetent staff. If you are self pay/ private pay they will run up all kinds of bills for you to pay. They tried to take advantage of a friend of mine. My friend is a veteran, instead of using his VA medical/ prescription benefits, HILLVIEW used a private pharmacy and we received a huge bill in the mail..To make a long story short. HILLVIEW ended up paying the bill.THEY WILLINGLY ACCEPTED OUR FRIEND FROM THE VA HOSPITAL! DOES NOT TAKE A ROCKET SCIENTISTS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS GOING ON! Hillview also has states to us they are not required by the state to provide a low carb/ diabetic meals so they continue to provide my friend with a lot of carbs/ sweets and continue to pump him full of insulin everyday..The staff DOES NOT honor what they tell you For instance that our friend would be monitored daily of his sweets/ candy intake from the activity room. When the staff checks his glucose everyday, numerous occasions his sugar levels were so high that the glucose meter would not even read it.. At that his glucose is over 600 which is dangerous for a diabetics and then the staff starts making phone calls to the contact person. When you call their hand boy they sure do get defensive and rude.”Well we have 70 some other patients to look after”. HILLVIEW also had our friend on meds that he was NOT to be taking per his VA MOUNTAIN HOME PRIMARY CARE doctor due to renal issues. This also had to be brought to the staff’s attention Everything he is eating is coming from inside the facility including activity room. Our friend has several medical diagnoses with one being dementia. Also short term memory affected, he can’t remember what he told you or what staff has told him but seem to think all is good with him!No need to put any more horror stories on here that has happened.. If you have a family member/ friend at this facility, please pay attention and ask questions! Actually this bunch needs to be reported! Legal hand on board prolly a good idea

If your loved ones are here for whatever reason, keep mind what I say here...Maybe they will be looked after and cared for, and maybe they won''t. This place is like ordering fast food, you might get the pickle that you requested to be left off of your burger, but you might just get extra pickles. There are 0 standards and 0 accountability. Staff are usually "deer in headlights mode" blaming the opposing shift for whatever. Facility reaks of urine and despair. I would expect more from a well funded facility but it''s not happening here. Last resort.......resort.
