Now it is 3:30 pm the next day (04/07/2024) and they just got him changed!! Our dad had to sit in his own urine and poop for 18 1/2 hrs!!!! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! AND THEN HIS NURSE TRIED TO SAY HE HAS BEEN CHANGED AT LEAST ONCE TODAY!! BUT OUR DAD IS VERY AWARE OF HIS SURROUNDINGS!!! MY SISTER SHELLIE TRANTHAM AND MYSELF SHIELA SMITH. Are not trying to tell your nurses how to do there job but if they can''t handle it they need to find another job because when it comes to our Daddy we can get very ugly.

Serving as one of the Director''s at the Oaks at Cedar Shoals, we have had several of our residents come to us from their rehab side and they have all had good things to say. Not to mention, anytime I have had questions, need paperwork, anything at all... Jendera Smith is always on top of it! Staff is accommodating, welcoming and always looking out for what''s in the best interest of their patients/residents.

I would rate High Shoals Health and Rehab. very highly as they have provided outstanding care to my father. All staff from the administration to the nurses to the CNAs have been helpful, caring, and so patient with my father. I have had experience with many nursing homes/rehab facilities with various family members throughout the years and High Shoals is far superior than any other facility in Athens. The professionalism, dedication, and care they show is evident each day. Five stars!
