Heritage Woods of Ottawa was a nice place. They had three meals a day and they had nursing, cleaning, and everything else, but it's $5000 a month and I only make $2060 a month. They say they'd have to get Medicare involved, but that would mean that I'd have to give up my car because that's considered an asset and then they give me $90 a month. Cable or Internet would come out of that. Also, they had buses there that would take you to a doctor's appointment. The room I saw was alright. They showed me an efficiency apartment that they had offered. There was one pair of residents there that were playing a card game. They have some exercise equipment in some of the areas, but not a lot. Just some stationary bikes. I didn't see any treadmills or stuff like that. Most of the residents were older ladies. Then there's a few guys there. It was clean and everything.

The tour at this community was nice but there was another community that stood out more for the value and just the type of environment that I was looking for for my loved one. They gave me all of the info I needed and I was able to see everything that I needed to see.
Beautiful facility with a very caring staff! Love that there is an in-house physical, occupational, and speech therapy department. The physical therapist Michelle is great. Highly recommend!

They are all committed to treating all the residents as part of their family and they go above and beyond to keep the facility in beautiful condition! The staff is five stars! An awesome facility...
