This place should be closed down.....the kitchen staff are having to prepare meals for the residents for weeks without air-conditioning! I really see a law suit waiting to happen!

My mom has been at Heritage Health Care for rehabilitation/therapy 3 weeks now. I''m sure there are a select few staff members that are caring and gentle with residents there, and then there are those few that shouldn''t be there. I wish I could say my mom''s stay there was a pleasant one, but in all honesty I can''t. My mom is supposed to be under 24/7 care because of a major leg surgery she just had. Undoubtedly there isn''t enough staff to provide the sufficient time per resident. My mom fell out of her bed and No one found her for 30 minutes. When she had a wet accident, she would lay in it for hours, and a nurse aid told my mom to go to the bathroom by herself. Where''s the caring and compassion that an elderly person is expecting when being in a facility like that? We are taking my mom home with us today. If we could have taken her home sooner we would have. My mom will finish her therapy at home with a caring home therapist we found. I don''t like to say negative things about people, or places, but Heritage Health Care of Tallahassee needs a serious upgrade in every department.I wouldn''t recommend this place.

The only exception is the administrator found out and responded with the necessary actions to correct this. She ever called the authorities and the consul of aging. She was in tears and appalled at his Treatment under heritage care.
