Our experience with Heritage Hall was very troubling to say the least. No empathy for older people. No encouragement just a lot of discouragement & negitivity and lack of compassion or care. He was ignored to the point he had bed sores one overlapping the other. From April 8th 2022 due to day surgery he went from a normal hardworking man to a very sick man In removing a large lump off of of his shoulder surgery. He spent 3 months in Missions Memorial in Ashville N.C. In ICU because he developed Sepsis 2 months in iCU and. Month in Rehabilitation there and he was released to Heritage to 1 months of theropy which turned into 2. There was I nurse that I thought the world of but the rest was there for the money ; nothing more. I heard patience besides my husband being yelled at, saw roommates thst could not feed themselves not being helped when they asked. Would not change my husbands briefs when I’d call for them. Had to wait 45 minutes to an hour each time until I saw the buggy in hallway, and I would run to get one and change him myself. Theropy would not work with him . Said he was not connecting the dots and my main goal was telling the nurses and everyone that if they would take him off of the narcotics that he could do it but he was not going too until they did and I was right because he’s home now and I have the help at home and he progressing wonderfully at home, almost a month now. If anyone loves their loved one, they will not place then in Heritage Hall in Tazewell VA. We keep the patience’s in our prayers that are there everyday.

I give Heritage Hall Tazewell a five star rating because of the the love and care the staff has for the residents. My great grandmother spent her last days there and the nurses and staff treated her with the upmost care, love and respect.
I have had a family member be a resident of Heritage Hall Tazewell and I can’t say enough about the profession care that is given to the residents. The nurses are so caring and personable. The faculty is clean and everyone smiles and speaks when you come in.
We received excellent care for my grandfather during his stay at Heritage Hall, Tazewell. The staff were always kind and treated him with respect.
