Here is the reality folks. Our Aunt has been living at Heritage Crossing for 4 years. I believe we are on our 6th or 7th Executive director and at least 6th or 7th head of nursing. Most of the care is done thru an agency because from what we were told there is such a turnover in the field they cannot keep staff. We are having communication issues, housekeeping issues, laundry issues, medication administration issues (meds being left at bedside of a dementia patient several times), personal hygiene issues where we find her urine soaked with cloths she has been in for a week! . We were finally promised if she was moved from assisted living to memory care she would be monitored more closely and she would get a more intimate form of care then she received in assisted living. Here we are today… it’s a holiday weekend and our aunt fell. She has several fractured ribs, and other fractures from the fall. We received the call this morning with very minimal information. We called the executive director to get a more detailed explanation of what happened only to be put into voice mail. We would have called the director of memory care but we were told he quit after the first day. We left a detailed voice mail message with the executive director at approximately 11:30 am and it is now 9:30 pm and still no call back. The director/head of nursing (who is suppose to be there for the families) never contacted us in regards to the incident but did have an “agency” staff member call us to ask who was going to come get the cat? Not one mention from the head nurse regarding the condition of our aunt/HER RESIDENT. Nobody can seem to give us any solid answers on how our Aunt fell to cause her to be admitted to the hospital with multiple fractures. All they can tell us is they found her outside her room door?? This clearly shows that management has very little concern for their residents. We have attended numerous meet and greets and champagne and dessert parties filled with empty promises on how they are going to improve the care for their residents. But, we keep coming back to this same end…increased rent/care costs with less then mediocre care at best…..

Had an Easter party there yesterday for my mom EVERYTHING was top notch!! The Chefs attention to detail and presentation was amazing. Food was delicious!! Activities without being asked had everything decorated so classy. They always do a great job on seasonal decorating. Kitchen staff was amazing and helpful and fun. All the staff at Heritage is so kind and even when they are super busy (which is all the time) they go out of their way to listen and help you with any concerns you have. Truly wonderful people !!! With Assited Living Facilities showing up everywhere it’s hard to know where to place a loved one. Heritage Crossing stands alone in many ways but mostly for their commitment to the residents and families and offering services to really make a difference in your lives. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to place a parent or loved one. They make you feel like Family and I can’t thank them enough. My mom is very happy 🌹❤️

My uncle lived here in Memory Care briefly but we decided to move him to another facility as he wasn’t receiving proper care. They don’t provide too much and we had to provide everything from housekeeping supplies like toilet paper to linens. They also rarely shaved him which became our job too. And his belongings such as his wheelchair went missing and were found used by other residents. I work in this field myself but was ashamed we put him here.

My experience at Heritage Crossings is very positive. I walk in and I'm just amazed by the beautiful architecture in the building. Great views out the windows. The rooms have a lot of space and feel like you can make it just like home. Not only is the building amazing but the staff in it is phenomenal! The staff is welcoming and helpful and great with the residents. They have fun and engaging activities everyday for both Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. Also don't forget the delicious meals the dietary staff prepares. They prepare breakfast, lunch, & dinner and have a great variety for each days meals. Overall very happy and impressed by this community's building.

We had an unplanned and unexpected move for my mom to a memory care unit. Due to the unexpectedness, swift, and uncharted territory of it all, we looked at (7) residents to ensure we were giving her the best under the circumstance. We toured Heritage Crossing twice, once with an appointment, and once as drop-in on a Sunday. Both times we were impressed with the openness of the unit and that it didn't mirror other places that seemed more as "lock-down unit." We liked the fact that all the residents were not just in wheelchairs, but sitting in recliners, chairs, and a sofa. All the residents were well groomed and had clean clothing on. Also, there were at least 3 clinical care team members on the floor interacting with the residents. (Even on Sunday with our unscheduled visit) After we made the decision to make Heritage Crossing mom's home, the staff went above and beyond to welcome mom and us as a family. Many little touches that meant so much to all of us.
