How this place is allowed to stay open boggles my mind. DO NOT let yourself or anyone you know be admitted to this awful facility. Patient neglect is rampant and it is just used to swindle money from the state while providing HORRIBLE care.
My father was in the rehab facility for less than a week when he became extremely dehydrated and got so sick he was taken to the hospital where he was diagnosed with septic shock and within three weeks he died! Then a week after his death they called me to say they were following up on his discharge...

Then a week after his death they called me to say they were following up on his discharge from the hospital and they just wanted to know where my father was discharged to from the hospital, so I told them he was discharged to heaven and they should be ashamed of themselves that they didn’t even know that! Completely incompetent and criminally negligent!!

Do not, I repeat DO NOT put your loved ones here. This place is a dump. The nurses are incompetent and no one knows what they are doing. My aunt developed bed sores in there and they act like no one knows what they are doing. When you call you can never find anyone to answer the phone.
During this pandemic the staff at Hempstead Park have been like a second family to me and my mother. They are caring compassionate and always communicating. I''m thankful that she is there.
