I just called this place, as my family member was just moved here under comfort care (no life-saving measures). I was very respectful and was treated INCREDIBLY rude. I live a very long way away. My question was simple: if my loved one gets moved to hospice, will I be allowed an end of life visit? Her very short, terse, rude response: well we don''t know WHEN she is getting moved to hospice. I said that is not my question. I am asking IF she gets moved to hospice, will I be allowed an end of life visit? Her response: we have had people on hospice here for two years. Which still did not answer my question. She said: death must be imminent. She referenced within a day. I said, ma''am I live 2,000 miles away. So I do not get to see my loved one before she passes if it is not within a day? Guess not. So thank you, Helia Health, for treating a loved one''s worried and sad family member with NO respect, NO care, and NO real answers. Lastly, I do understand we are in the middle of a pandemic. But that was not a part of the conversation. If she would have asked, she would have known that I have already been vaccinated, so there is LITTLE risk with my visit. Edit - If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Their whole "she could live on hospice for TWO YEARS" was complete BS. She died two days, TWO DAYS later. Horrible place.
