The exec director was full of excuses and blaming our Gov for his inability to attract and keep good staff. He thinks covid is a hoax spewing delusional rhetoric in our newsletter. I hope the new owners care about us and leave their political agenda behind. I don’t like being used as a pawn for marketing. I would rather have my privacy. If I can’t smoke the exec director shouldn’t be able to either!! Nice places right around the corner from here.

After an exhaustive search for an assisted living facility for my mom in law I came to find Charlie Martinez and Heather Hills. What a blessing! Charlie immediately made me feel welcome and the love she shares with you, the staff, and every resident at the facility was above and beyond anything I have ever experienced! There was one resident in hospice care (she gave no details) but the pain on her face as she expressed her feelings for this resident made me know this is where my family member needs to be. This place is just different. The residents have choices, the place is beautiful and spotless, and everyone is just the best. And my mom in law just loves it there! She feels independent while having people with her if she needs anything. It is just wonderful. I simply cannot say enough about the quality of the facility and especially their staff. They make the difference. And Charlie is someone special. Thank you Heather Hills for making this transition for our family a positive experience!

Heather Hills staff and caretakers are caring and sensitive to patient needs and dignity. As a Hospice caregiver, I have never visited a more caring and giving community. I especially want to recognize Gina, who leads the exercise classes and pays special attention to every resident. She makes everyone feel like they are her favorite. Additionally, Margaret, who oversees the veterans program, has a heart of gold . She goes to extraordinary lengths to research each Veteran''s history and recognize their individual contributions to our democracy. The dining staff makes dining together for residents feel like a nice restaurant outing. The personal care staff is respectful of patient privacy and very responsive. I highly recommend Heather Hills for your loved ones.

When mom was first moved we were promised the world by Charlie and told many services were available that were not. The longer mom was there the worse it got. The director Joe Leblanc is a snake oil salesman who never delivered. Even the simplest issues were unresolved. The place is always short staffed with a revolving door. There is nobody with any authority around on the weekends. We moved mom out when several others were fed up with no dining room open, nobody to do laundry or clean, urine smell, late meds, lost meds, 100 degree halls, constant power outages in heat of summer, etc. Joe Leblanc blamed everything on Covid even though only 3 residents had it from March 2020 until we moved mom out. There is a lack of leadership and we know from the staff that worked with mom that we made the right move - out. Be aware that appearances can be deceiving.
Read moreWish they had a wider variety of activities. They sold the business in July to a new corporation. It is now part of a bigger group. So not certain what to expect with this all happening now, but hope the future will be great. They have several new move-ins so that is nice.
