They had all the highest Care Certifications and at the time, it seemed like the right place. It was horrible. Management cares more about their pockets than the residents. They fired everyone who was caring and kept the worst staff and employees. Prepare yourself to be ignored by nursing and staff. The smell of pee in the memory care unit is unbearable. We complained so many times and nobody did anything about it. There is under staffing and because of it, very little oversight. The only good thing is the food. They have a good dining system, plenty of options, and it's tasty. I do not recommend it. They have a lot of work that needs to be done in order to be a proper home for your loved ones.

We loved Harbor Chase of Dr. Phillips. We loved all of the amenities that they have. It's open and airy. They're creme de la creme. It's a beautiful place, like a high-end resort. It seemed like they had all the requirements. They've got a gym, physical therapy, a beauty salon, and all the things that would meet the needs of someone's assistance. It's fabulous. All of the apartments were spacious for one individual. They had all the amenities that you're allowed to have. The person that took me around was awesome. He was very honest, caring, polite, and professional. He was very knowledgeable of all of the levels of care that they offered. He answered all our questions very openly and honestly. The meals were outstanding. The first meal we had was salmon and it was one of the best salmon I've ever had. They have been in touch and did a follow-up. They even brought a meal to the house. It was lamb chops and they were very, very good as well. The follow-up was good and the marketing sales director lady was awesome and very polite. They were all very compassionate.

HarborChase of Dr. Phillips is amazing - I cannot say enough good things about it. I am so grateful my sister is there. It has been an amazing place for her. The activities people especially have really made a difference in her life, because she loves art and music. They take care of her. They're always there to take her places and encourage her. The staff is extremely friendly and caring. The nurses are amazing. Other places that are just as expensive don't give you near what you get here.

They're understaffed. My biggest issue is that they don't get back to me. For the past three months, I've been trying to get a medication changed for my loved one. Even all the way up to the Vice President, they have not gotten back to me. They act like if you put a person in a memory care unit, you're not going to take them out, and then they take advantage of that. The nurse is rude and completely ignores my requests. She has ghosted me multiple times. They change staff consistently which makes it hard for the residents to receive consistent care. They have carpet in the main areas, and it smells like pee because people pee on it all the time. They clean it constantly, but the pee smell never leaves. I've talked to them about it, and they refuse to put in different flooring or replace the carpet. The cleaning of my loved one's room is inconsistent. I feel like they don't try hard enough to get him to shower or do activities . The only time either of those things happen is when I'm there and my husband helps me do it. The one good thing is the food. They serve a consistent three meals a day. Perhaps they could add in some snacks, because my loved one gets hungry outside of those meals. Things go missing, which I understand occurs in most homes. But when his glasses were lost, which is important, they didn't seem to care. I feel like they sell you this great place, but after you sign the contact and pay the money, they don't give a crap. During the time we've been there, they've also changed leadership. It has been an unfortunate experience. My loved one has improved with the routine of being there, but they could do a lot better. And my concerns and feedback have gone unaddressed. Imagine speaking to everyone in a company and having them ghost you. That speaks for itself. Communication is not their forte. With activities, I understand that it's hard to get memory care residents to participate, but they shouldn't just give up. If what they're doing isn't working, they should keep trying to find things the residents are able to do and excited to participate in.
