The facility is clean, the nurses, and therapists are wonderful! They really care about the residents. I had visited similar facilities before needing short term, inpatient care, and I am very impressed as to how friendly all of the staff is, and everyone goes out of their way to interact, and get to know every resident. It is refreshing to know that the residents are not just another number. Another positive atribute about Hammond Whiting Care Center is their open door policy. Residents are encouraged to discuss any questions, issues, or concerns, and the staff makes every effort to answer, and/or, resolve whatever maybe addressed. I had returned 2 more times since posting my initial review for short term rehabilitation therapy. I am now a long term patient here and my opinions haven''t changed.The Physical/Occupational Therapy teams are AWESOME! I am pleased with the care that I receive from most all of the NURSES, and the QMA''s and CNA''s are great. Many go ABOVE and BEYOND,( too many to mention, and yes, I have my favorites), but I would like to give special recognition to nurse, Tami Campbell, Tami is EXCEPTIONAL! She encouraged me to take the first steps to positively change my life to improve my health, and she did everything possible to help me reach my goal! I owe my extreme gratitude to Tami without her support and care I would not have the success I am enjoying today! I STRONGLY RECOMMEND entrusting Hammond Whiting Care Center with the care of your loved one!
