They have patients sitting by the dining room table for hours…not letting them leave…no activities for most of the patients. Patients sit in urine soaked wheelchairs because staff does not have enough help. The medical staff does not listen to your concerns about your loved one. It’s so sad to see people treated this way.

She has made some friends there - staff and other residents - and seems to enjoy the activities they have throughout the day. We are considering moving her into assisted living once she gets her mojo back. Very glad we found Gurwin!

My husband was at this facility it was the most upsetting experience my family experienced The first week he was there his phone was stolen and I reported it and was told it must of gotten lost in the wash He unfortunately died there and I went to pick up his stuff I was devastated to find his wedding ring was stolen off his hand after he died and all of his nice clothes were stolen I picked up 3 broken boxes of the rest of his stuff that the staff didn’t want this left me and my family beyond hurt that he was violated in the last hours of his life Please do not let anyone you love go to this disgusting facility

The staff were so welcoming and supportive. Within a few short months, she was asked to be part of the new calendar. She looked forward to the variety of activities each day. Her fellow residents were warm and friendly. I found it absolutely amazing how my mom just melded into the Gurwin community. She discovered her “hidden” art talents. It is so heartwarming to have some of those projects displayed in my home. I am so blessed to have those memories of my mom at Gurwin. It brings me solace during this difficult time.
