It was a difficult decision to make but for our loved one it was the easiest to choose Gurwin Jewish - Fay J. Lindner Assisted Living Residences. Highly recommended by our loved one''s Medical Doctor which alone says a great deal. The facility is kept CLEANER than CLEAN. The Recreation Center goes beyond to keep the residents active and feeling loved. As a family member I can rest at night knowing my loved one is being taken care of. When entering the facility, the reception administrators welcome you not only with a smile but by "Your Name". I don''t know how they are able to remember each family members'' names but every and any time I have been there, (which is often) I have been welcomed and greeted with a smile. The ENTIRE STAFF is AMAZING and always is willing to assist with anything that is needed. I am very grateful to have found a place for my loved one to create a new and loving home. Gurwin Assisted Living is Highly Recommended....

My mother resided at Gurwin Jewish Assisted Living for over 6 years. She passed away recently at age 96 after a long and rewarding life. She made the decision to move back to NY from FL after realizing, that after her leg amputation, she needed to feel safe and be closer to family. It was the perfect fit for her and also for our family. The staff at Gurwin is warm and caring. They always tried to keep her and us happy. The front desk, recreation, the dining room, cleaning and maintenance, administrative staff and wellness were always available to discuss any issues and over the years we got to know many of them closely. The aides generally provided wonderful personal care with showering and dressing. I don’t think any assisted living facility is perfect, but having dealt with a ‘for profit’ facility with a different family member, there was no comparison. Gurwin makes it more about the residents not the profits. My Mom was pretty independent initially and was involved in Council and many activities, especially the synagogue. She loved classes with the college professor who came every month. She gradually declined physically, but was cognitively intact until very recently. We needed to add more care over the years, but I always felt that the staff at wellness and case management/social work provided guidance in a very helpful, appropriate way. Even during the height of the pandemic, they kept her safe and did their best during a very difficult time. I highly recommend Gurwin Jewish Fay J Lindner Residences to anyone looking for a safe loving environment.

My mother was very wary of going to assisted living although at 92 years of age she is limited in walking and daily activities. After touring many places we chose Gurwin. We toured with Beth, the Marketing Director who is extremely competent and engaging and very transparent. She worked with us every step of the way and made moving in seamless and stress free. In fact all the staff members at Gurwin are friendly, helpful and engaging. The facility is spotless and the residents are satisfied with services and activities and friendly to one another. My mom’s quality of life is greatly improved and she is adjusting nicely despite have had reservations about coming here. If there is ever a concern, the staff is quick to address it! I am so relieved and grateful to the staff and highly recommend this residence!
