I had my love one here not to long ago and it disgusted me that they could take care of her. Nursing does a poor job. Had an IDT meeting with the team and they all look so unprofessional especially this guy called Francis. Very inpatient and wanted to end the meeting quick. Like is this how you show customer service to your clients. Not only this but he was very rude and disrespectful. If I remember correctly, he does activities and boy if he acts like that I wonder how he is with resident. Rehab seemed okay but didn’t do enough to address my mothers issue. Social services never got back to me regarding my mother missing items or any follow up regarding doctors appointment. I had enough. Be aware that this facility is the joke of all jokes.

Day 5 of me having excruciating pain in my upper abdomen and lower back. I was there from a little after 9PM until 5AM. While waiting I heard the female doctor on the phone curse, complain about being there, and wanting to go home. A little later she then tells me "I have bad news, the catscan shows you need your Gallbladder removed." I said "Ok, will someone do that now?" She said "I''m calling a surgeon down to speak with you as I''ve sent her your scans." So the female surgeon makes her way down, and presses on my stomach & asks if there''s pain. She asked a few more questions, and said "I''m not convinced it''s your GallBladder, it could be IBS, a stomach virus, stress etc." I said "Oooook, so what do I do if I go home and the pain comes back again?" She said "Come back here." So the doctor gave me a prescription for a fluid to drink and they sent me home. She didn’t tell me what the fluid was all she said was “drink it over ice and don’t leave your house for 20 mins.” Also, while I was waiting back in the ER room for updates, there was a female patient there due to a hole in her mouth and she was frustrated they weren’t updating her and also noted how dirty it was back there (which it was. Floors, restroom, chairs). Two days later the severe pain is back. So I go to the Emergency Room again. They take me back, I say I''m going to throw-up, they give me a bag to throw-up in and disappear. I throw up, they never check on me, and I set the throw up bag on the floor. I had to ask the male nurse twice for pain medicine. He said he was waiting for the doctor to authorize it. The female doctor finally authorizes it, and he puts the pain medicine through the IV bag I was given. He also took another urine sample as well as more blood samples. Then I''m told I''m going to get an ultrasound. I asked why that didn''t happen on when I went in the first time, and I was told "I don''t know, different doctors do different things." So I''m back waiting on those results, and need to ask the nurse for more pain medicine. While I''m waiting another patient is waiting and she was just as upset as I was with the ER''s lack of service. She had a black toe and said they weren’t explaining anything and she felt like they wanted to give her pain meds and send her home. She said she wasn''t told what they were doing or giving her and she had to ask a lot of questions, and was still confused. Then I''m told by the male nurse the ultrasound showed it is Gallstones/ my GallBladder and they would probably keep me at the hospital to do the procedure. The female doctor later tells me that I''ll be discharged and gives me a phone number to the Desert Trauma Surgeons Clinic to call and make an appointment with them to do the procedure. I did not understand why I wasn’t going to be admitted and she was getting irritated with me asking. She said it wasn''t an emergency, so I needed to call Desert Trauma. I did not want to keep asking questions so I said ok. She then typed four prescriptions for me to fill. Again, she didn’t explain what any of them were. I have a family friend who’s a pharmacist and thankfully she told me what they were. One was Percocet and another was something in case I over dosed on the Percocet - wow- that was crazy. What doctor prescribes meds, doesn’t explain what they are and then one is an overdose med! Also, at both ER visits I was not told what any of the paperwork I was given said. No one went over it with me. One said something about Ovarian Cysts that I did not see until I got home. So I called the phone number the ER doctor gave me & I set-up a consult with the doctor, however the severe pain came back before that consult, so again I went back to the ER for the third time. Thank God the staff working that day finally admitted me. Also, numerous staff members asked me why I wasn’t admitted the first visit OR the second. I said “I have no idea- that’s what I’d like to know!!” I was down in the ER in a bed from a little after 8:30AM until around 5PM when they finally had a room ready for me.
