I want to share my positive experience during my stay at Grey Stone for rehabilitation. The administration was kind to allow my daughter to be with me during my recovery, which was a tremendous support. The rehabilitation staff for physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy were excellent. Despite the short staffing, they never missed a moment to attend to my needs. The nursing staff and regular staff were attentive, respectful, and kind, which made my stay more comfortable. I am thankful for the excellent service I received during my rehab, and I hope this feedback will help the staff continue to provide the same level of exceptional care to other patients. Fuming that with staff shortages becoming the norm they haven’t mastered a way to prioritize, rank, or triage care when it comes to which residents get changed within an 8-10 HOUR period. Consider how many times a day an able bodied person goes to the bathroom. Now consider how many times a day a disabled person with an overactive bladder has accidents on themselves. Surely that should warrant MORE than 1 diaper change a day OR at minimum a sense of urgency when you notify them that your LO is soaked and has been soaked for hours. Frustrated that we were sold on an individualized care model but LO has been receiving anything but that only to be told no matter the condition or amount of time your LO has been soiled, everyone gets equal care. With that in mind, if your LO requires a lift or has an overactive bladder, you will need to be at peace with the call light response times. If you call to question the response times, you may also be told you are disturbing other patient care. Great nursing home for those that require little to no assistance.
