I went and visited my brother on labor day weekend and he was fine sitting up in his wheel chair down in the smoke room...my brother had a stroke 7 years ago and he can''t walk or talk....his wife of 20 years has taken care of him no bed soars no infections he is diabetic....she has taken very good care of him....her health is getting bad and she''s not able to lift or care for him in the way she once could so she and I discussed putting him in a nursing home.....not even 3 months after my brother was put in green acres he has nearly died....he got sepsis and sufferd septic shock from his wound not being properly taken care of which caused it to have to be amputated....she blames herself for putting him there but its not her fault she was trying to do what was best for him and her trying to get her health better by getting to her dr. appt.....while my brother is still in the hospital he''s had clothes stolen from his room at the nursing home and other items that she had taken up to the nursing home for him.....and just a little advice if your loved one can be taken to Jonesboro hospital take them there because the nursing staff at the hospital will listen outside the door and call Green Acres and tell them what you''ve said....they ease drop they work together if the patients come to the Methodist Hospital from green acres their sure to get the money.....Its a sad thing to go to school to take care of people and you don''t even do your job...just go to work at McDonald''s....we love our family they didn''t ask to get sick have strokes but you signed the papers when you entered school to take care of our loved ones, do your job right or just go home that''s all I and I bet alot of other people would say.....Green Acres isn''t even worth the 1 star I had to give....but it was my only way to get to this posting area... Don''t bring no family to this facility they are not held responsible for the life or well being of your family member, they are a non profit organization, so if you love your family member that requires extra care and attention Don''t take them there.....
