The facility was very clean and modern. The nurses aids were very nice and helpful. There was one nurse who should not be working there. Her name was Mel. She called me a liar and always wanted to argue. The one night I needed someone to help me with a bathroom situation. I kept pressing the call button and ringing the bell and no one came. I finally used my cell phone and called the front desk and asked for help. It ended up me lying in wet and fecal all night. They had a man come in the morning to clean me up. It was humiliating. This was only one situation. I had gone to the doctor on the 13th of June and he released me to go home. They took me back to the facility at 10:30am. I didn''t get to leave until after 6pm. because of paper work. It was a horrible experience and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

While I wish I could rate this facility as excellent, average is the best I can do. We love the model The Laurels is based on! However, we were promised more than we got. While there were many very caring staff members, the whole system did not operate the way it was presented to us. After a whole year of ownership by The Laurels, it seemed to us that they were still trying to figure out how to run a facility based on the model we were promised. Here are some things we experienced: rooms not well-cleaned or repaired upon move-in; not as many staff as promised; many staff changes during the 6 months my parents were there; lost laundry & not enough laundry machines; security problems/confusion; call buttons not working; medication mix-ups/confusion. I know COVID conditions made life difficult for many occupations, and I will repeat that the majority of the nursing and caregiver staff were very compassionate; we just wish there had been more of them on duty at once so their skills would not have been spread so thin.

What a wonderful concept it’s just like being at home but all your friends are there. The setting and friendly staff and everyone’s general feeling of being at home makes it a very cozy welcoming place to be.
Great rehab!
