We placed our mother in rehab after 3 weeks in the hospital. After lying for so long, we thought they would be able to help her get around a bit. We also assumed that they''d work with her at least 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days a week. Their visiting hours are 8am to 8pm. My sister or myself was with her every minute of those hours, every day. We soon discovered that their idea of rehabilitation is mainly getting her out of bed and sitting her up in a wheelchair for a few hours. (Sometimes even abandoned by the rehabilitation "expert" until other staff puts them back in bed) The most time that they spent rehabilitating her was 11 minutes. Mostly it was 3 to 5 minutes. We had to file an appeal with Medicare to keep her in there for another week. At which time, my sister and I started working with her. It angered the rehabilitation lady when she discovered we had her walking. Had we not, we think it would have been months before she was better. I want to make it clear, the CNA''s and nurses are absolutely phenomenal. Although understaffed, they are knowledgeable, very patient, caring and hardworking. However, if you have someone who need rehabilitation, please find him/her somewhere else. This facility is a waste of money for that purpose.

If you truly care for your loved ones DO NOT PLACE THEM IN THIS FACILITY!This page is not near big enough to list everything.Do not let the exterior of the place fool you. While some of the staff are nice enough it''s not enough. My family member not only came out w very little improvement(which was not all due to age) she had pressure/bedsores that were not treated but when report called to New facility nurse stated she had none.Showers were not given as they should''ve been(every other day).Clothes taken & supposedly replaced but other than a walmart receipt nothing but a pkg of socks to show anything truly had been replaced (which I might add took well over a month to get replaced).Hippa violations ,you could speak w a staff member re: status but then go to another staff member right around the corner (or nurse to therapist) & get conflicting info.Status/health changes that were never reported to family/POA.Injuries not reported either as they are required to do.When asked to assist patient/family member to bathroomwas told by CNA/PCA that "That was not their job."Then continued chatting with the staff nurse. Then administration staff isn''t much better.Yoy''d be better off taking your chances winning the lottery. They spend more time in meetings than overseeing the facility staff,& residents.Entrance is typically kept clean & pleasant smelling but once past the interior door foul smelling.reeks of urine & feces.Patients laying w head on desk to right of door sleeping & just left there.Discarded water cups left sitting on arms of the couch and other furniture. They do not even deserve a 1 star but you have to select it to post.
