Right now, I'm living in Granny's Cottage. It's a house, and there are two people take care of about six patients. It gets better all the time. I would rather live in a senior home where there's activities, but because of my physical problems, I can't. So far, they have been giving me pretty good care. I'm in a room with one roommate. The staff is a husband and wife team, and their son helps out once in a while. She does most of the work, and he does a lot of cooking, cleaning, and different things like that. They are good and very helpful. As for the food, I have cereal every morning. I buy high protein drinks, and I drink those for lunch. For dinner, it's different all the time. It's OK though. I'm a picky eater. We eat in our own room, so we don't eat in the dining area. All the other residents have dementia or Alzheimer's, so none of them could do anything. I'm the only alert one that can talk or do anything, so there's not much for me to do except watch TV. The atmosphere here is good. The bedroom I'm in has a big sliding glass door, so I can look out the backyard. It's really pretty to look at. I have been here for three months now. When the physical therapist comes, a lot of times he walks me through the house to the other end and back. There are no activities really.
