I toured Grandview Village. I like that the staff was friendly. However I did not like the apartment that was available. It was dark and small. And it did not seem like they had as much staff that was visible on the day that I visited. It also seemed dated. They were in the middle of remodeling. They had a dining area, a living room area, and a courtyard. In the courtyard, the walkway had a lift that should have been repaired. It was marked with white paint, but it was a tripping hazard.

Grandview Village was beautiful. The architecture inside and how it was laid out was beautiful. They had a courtyard there that was just gorgeous. The only problem was that they did not have 2-bedroom apartments, they only had 1-bedroom apartments. The carpeting was old and worn out, and there was a big stain in the hallway where we were walking. They had an older portion and a newer portion of that place. The person that we were supposed to go see wasn't there. And then the other person that we could have seen wasn't there either. So they had to find somebody else to take us around. But she was very helpful, nice, and informative. We were able to go into one resident's apartment and take a look inside to see how it was laid out, and that was kind of nice. As we were leaving, we saw some residents coming in and out of a van, and they took them somewhere. I saw a hair salon, but that's all I remember.

Grandview Village was a nice facility. The staff and some of the residents that I was able to meet were also very nice. The people that gave the tour were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They had a nice central common area, a nice dining facility, and a beautiful outdoor courtyard that the residents could use. The room sizes were average compared to the other facilities that I toured. They offered a studio and one-bedrooms, and both models have mini stoves so the residents can cook if they want to. The refrigerators that they supply, though, were very small. They're smaller than what you'd find in a hotel room. There's not really enough room to put a whole lot in. The cabinetry and the cupboards were not much. What they have was pretty cute and it kind of reminds me of being in a college dormitory, but one of the residents nvited us into her room and despite the fact that I couldn't stand the cabinets, she had it decorated very nicely and it looked homey and nice.

I have a very good rating for Grandview Village. Everything that I've seen was a 5-star. Everything they did for me was a 5-star. I've just seen the first part of it and when I drove into the parking lot, everything was very well maintained, very clean, and organized. The staff was very informative, gave me all kinds of leads or which step to take next and a list of places to go, and a book of all the facilities in the area and the reviews on them, so that was extremely helpful. They just wouldn't accommodate my mom because it wasn't a memory care facility. If a person has dementia and they wanted to leave, they could, because their doors are not locked. I've seen the cafeteria and a room where they go for gaming and entertainment.

Grandview Village was a very clean place and the staff was very friendly. It did not feel like a hospital. It seemed like they took great care and pride in the facility, their staff, and also their residents. I have seen how the food was prepared as they actually had a meal going on when we were there. They had a menu that they could order from, and they could get their eggs ordered how they wanted. It seemed like a very professional operation, and that they actually cared. I would be happy with my family at that place. They had a salon, an activity center, a courtyard for walking around, a water fountain, onsite laundry, game areas, and multiple areas where you could visit. They had a shuttle service so they do offsite activities that they schedule.

We were really impressed with Grandview Village and we liked it a lot. The place was very nice and very friendly. The staff gave us good information and was very thorough. The room that we saw was very nice and big, but they were not furnished. While we were there, the residents were having a special activity for their residents in the living room, like a wine tasting event, and they were obviously enjoying themselves. They had a nice and safe outdoor walking area. They had exercise classes, puzzles, and card games. They are even going to have a wedding this week. Two of their residents are going to get married, which I thought was really fun.
