This place only got one star because I had to give it something. My uncle was placed here for "hospice" from the VA. When we went in to see him? It was something no family should ever have to witness. He was in a room, far away from the nurses station, alone and in the dark. Nothing on but an adult (soiled--and not newly soiled either) diaper and a johnnie hanging off, with only a sheet for warmth-the AC was set at 61. He was laying sideways in the bed, oxygen cannula off. Half the lights didn''t work, the tv that was there one day, was gone the next. He hadn''t had his medication in over 24 hours because we were not notified we had to sign off on it being given to him, so he was very agitated. When the hospice nurse (who was wonderful!)came in, she was furious. She immediately went to work to figure out what was going on. We got his meds changed but had to wait over an hour for the nurse to even CALL the doctor to have them signed off on and that was only because I kept on her to call. I asked if he could be moved closer and was told "Oh yeah. That''s a good idea!" HELLO???? Is this how all their "hospice" patients are treated? Just left in a distant, dark, freezing room? When I did speak to the staff, it was obvious they were understaffed and over worked. When I asked for extra blankets and to help reposition him, they were kind. Though a few of them did yell and treat my aunt with utter anger and disrespect. However, I am absolutely horrified that any elderly person, never mind a US Veteran has to spend the last few days of their lived being left to die with such little dignity. Imagine those poor people who don''t have family to advocate for them? I didn''t want to believe the reviews, but wow. They are on point. Something needs to be done. Our elderly and veterans deserve so much better. By the grace of God, my uncle passed about 24 hours later. While I miss him terribly, it was a blessing he is out of that dumpster fire of a nursing home.

Hello, My first visits over a year ago prior to COVID supported previous 1 star reviews, however, I recently visited my dear friend on May 13th at around 2PM and found many things had turned around in a positive way since. I felt compelled to give 4 stars and to summarize the highlights as my experience from beginning to end was very positive. First I was greeted at the front desk by a lovely, pleasant young women. I noticed the facility was clean and the staff was professional. Upon entering my friends room I met a very kind Hospice nurse named Carol who clearly cared about my friend and her visitors. I also met my friends roomate who was also very sweet and king. I asked Carol if we could go out to the courtyard as my friend always loved the outdoors and fresh air. She immediately responded yes so we took her out to the courtyard and we sat in the the fresh air and sunshine for a while. When it was time to leave I gave the clothes I bought my friend to the head nurse on the second floor. She put them in a bag and said she would take care of them. She asked me not to put my friends name on the label. I am saddened that gifts from family and friends sometimes disappear and can only hope that my last gifts to my friend with her particular favorite colors in mind will be used by her until her final days. When I left your facility I felt my friend was in good hands. Jose, an immaculate gentlemen, who clearly took pride in his work unlocked the door and led me out. I felt relieved about all the positive changes at your facility and wish you the best in turning your reviews around. Based on my last visit you deserve it.

I was very unhappy with the care my family member was receiving UNTIL I spoke to the Director of Nursing, Kristen. She immediately addressed and corrected the issues they were having. She gave me her personal cell phone and told me to call directly with any issues that we may have. She kept and keeps her word. I have noticed a difference in the facility with her as Director.

I wish I could give this facility a negative star review. The absolute worst experience I have ever encountered for my nana. She was there for 4 days and we knew we made a mistake the minute she was admitted to their rehab. They did not know that she was hard of hearing, they knew nothing of her physical limitations (all things you get in a report when patient is admitted and during the drop off) she was there 4 days and she was not taken out of her bed, she developed pressure ulcers up her back because they did not make an effort to shift her weight. She was not seen by physical therapy until day 3 and they were unable to get her out of bed (she sat entirely too long she was able to get out of bed at the hospital with assistance) she was forced to sit in her own urine and stool for over an hour on several occasions (and that was with my mother in the room with her and hitting the nursing assistance button). We made a request for transfer and we were ignored and ultimately had to tell them we were discharging her AMA and to call an ambulance. She was transfered to the hospital we started at. I would not send my worst enemy here let alone family that I care about.

THEY ARE THE WORST FACILITY EVER!! Starting with twice my father was transported to the hospital and NO ONE BOTHERED TO CALL ME OR ANY OTHER FAMILY MEMBER! They don''t even deserve 1 star but I had to selected it in order to post my disgust of this facility. My father went DOWN HILL once he got there. Once I went to visit him and they didn''t even put a mask on him. This was last week at the height of the pandemic. DON''T SEND YOUR LOVED ONE THERE!
