Shout out to the staff on East 1 who cared for my mom while on Hospice up until her passing. Nurse Nicole her primary nurse was exceptional in overseeing her medications and making her comfortable up until the end. Sorry I can’t remember all the names of the staff but all were so kind. Most came in at the beginning of each shift to introduce themselves. As an RN and previous manager in an elder services program I know that customer service is of utmost importance. I have to commend ALL staff who did not leave the room without saying “Is there anything else I can do for you!” I loved that. Probably reflects the leader of the pack Kim!! KUDOS TO ALL!!👍🏻 Kathy Gallant

This place is THE best!!! There is a bad review on here that doesn''t make sense. There is no doom and gloom here. Everything including ALL the staff are bright and cheery. They not only do their job, they do MORE. My mom has been here for over a week under hospice care thru CareCentral. Nicole, her nurse, Roxanne a CNA and Mary, are the bomb! I am staying overnight with my mom, cot, room change, hospitality cart and meals all here in the blink of an eye. I am so glad we chose this place for mom to spend her final days. Thay are truly amazing 👏 😍

The Greater Gardner area has been my home for over 30 years. There’s no better feeling than serving your own community. I have worked in LTC for over 40 years- as a Unit Manager, MDS/ Care Plan Coordinator, ADON and.as Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator- Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator is a lot about documentation; but it’s also finding the skilled need for placement, it’s helping people with insurance questions or forwarding those questions to the appropriate person who knows better, it’s helping to develop a plan of care and meeting someone’s goals. I love that Gardner Rehab strives to put residents and patients first to make that happen. I love that I work with a team of hard workers that have similar goals and go above and beyond to make those goals happen. I’m proud to work at Gardner Rehab & Nursing.

This is a typical rehab/skilled nursing facility. Food is typical institution food. Rehab isn''t the worst. My real complaint is with the social services. The woman who is supposed to be in charge of releasing a patient to a new facility is completely inept. She is not capable of writing orders to insure the patient who is moving gets all the necessary services and equipment the patient and new facility needs to make sure the patient is successful in theNext facility.

My mom was at this facility for 4.5 years. The staff try very hard to care for the residents but they are often short staffed and the turnover in the administration means the person you spoke with 2 weeks prior is gone and you start all over. My mom passed away 2 weeks ago and no one from the administration or current staff reached out to us . That really says something to us .
