I would give 0 stars but it is not possible. The Massapequa Center Rehabilitation & Nurse is horrible in every sense of the word. Do not subject your love one to their angry staff, horrible food, ignoring behavior and abuse towards patients and their loved ones who are desperately trying to get someone to help their loved one. I left this facility crying each night my father was there due to rude treatment from staff. The first night my dad was there my daughter and I went to visit and this aid started yelling at us that she hurt her back trying to move my father and she''s not doing it again. This aid continued to yell at me until finally my brothers asked for a meeting to have her removed from my father''s care after my father told me she was very rough with him and hurt him while moving him. One time I arrived and begged someone to check my father''s oxygen level. It was at 79 and finally a staff member brought my father an oxygen tank (that was empty!!!!!!!!!!!). I checked and they said okay, I''ll get another one then. My father caught pneumonia, Covid and MRSA there. We paid to have an ambulance take my father to St. Francis for treatment from all the illness he contracted at the Massapequa Center Rehabilitation & Nursing. He was so dehydrated when he arrived at St. Francis his tongue was black, swollen and he couldn''t talk!!!! We arranged for my father to go to the hospital rather than die at this facility. This money grubbing place would have just kept him there as long as possible for the money. It is my job now to warn people not to go here.

When my husband was at Excel at Woodbury I was home with a broken ankle. My accident prevented me from visiting my husband, so I could only go by what he told me. It turned out that he was sparing me the nightmare he was enduring so as not to upset me. There were vermin in his room; the help were verbally abusive; he had minimal access to a phone; and was threatened that he would never be able to leave there. Had I known that he was being abused I would have taken him out immediately. And I NEVER would have posted what I thought was a great facility. IT IS A RAT HOLE THAT IS DIRTY AND DISGUSTING WITH PEOPLE WHO HATE PEOPLE WORKING THERE. DO NOT GO THERE....EXCEL EXCELS AT TORTURE AND PAIN. IT SHOULD BE CLOSED ASAP.

Sean the director of the food Is so well mannered , gives amazingggg food. He’s the best of the best at his job. Every time I see him he’s working hard and doing the best of the best that he can do it keep things flowing. Excel is great but shoutout to seannn !!

The food service is always great here , any issues or concerns with your food services please go see Sean the Kitchen director! He’s very organized with the food and his employees, the dining area is always clean. Great job Sean and Excel staff!
