We toured Emerald Glen Olney for my mom. The person that was giving us the tour was very helpful. She answered all of our questions and gave us all the information that we needed. She told us that some part of it was kind of darker and she said that they were going to be installing more lighting and improving it. I think she also said that they were going to redo some of the flooring. So, she did share that right up front. It did need a little bit better lighting. I also actually thought it had just a little bit of a nursing home odor to it, and I didn't like that part of it. But otherwise, overall, it seemed to be a clean and a nice facility. They have a beauty shop, activities, and a dining area. They also have a courtyard with landscaping.

About a week and a half ago, I visited a community called Emerald Glen Olney. I toured their assisted living. I liked the location but they just can't take a patient under 65 and she's 64 right now. They didn't have as many amenities as the other places but it was a well-appointed place as well. I'd be very comfortable for my wife to live there. The staff was really thorough and was trying to help. The place is just completely well taken care of. They have an activity room and a salon.
