Wasn''t admitted by Charge Nurse (BSN)for 4 hrs( hosp info 5 faxed hrs. earlier). Walked in post op Rehab ((Daisy D hall ) pt.which was known. The admit should have been <10 min. However she passed it on to 2nd shift & therefor meds NOT ORDERED in time for Eve or Am meds! Room dusty, bathroom floor had multiple brown floor stains. Definite fecal on damp tissue. Person came & mopped floor BUT No dusting or moping room thence!! Told 1st Chg Nrse( BSN) my med list. "Nurse Practioner orders meds & I went thru them w/ her" ( CRNP) I saw my ASTHMA med was crossed off list & Chg Nrse said "that''s for Allergies". NO!! It is for My ASTHMA & I Need this !!! Spoke w/ multiple chg nurses & CRNP more than twice re: wrong meds. Some Hall nurses were knowledgeable about meds & understood that Why I REFUSED DUPLICATE DOSES of certain meds. These DRUGS TOGETHER cause TOXIC Heart RHYTHMS!! What about the Average patient or family member if NO Knowledge of meds ??? Accident .. Waiting to happen ... Nurse aides work Very Hard on All shifts. Highly reccommend their care to residents! One D hall aide "M" was rude not only to myself but used an angry voice to other residents seen & heard multiple times. I am Very Proud of my Nursing Career having worked at St V''s and as a previous Day Charge nurse at Edinboro Manor. I am Deeply Ashamed & Disturbed that that there was less being done & NO ACCOUNTIBILITY!!! I was Very proud of All our staff Nursing & Others on all shifts during my tenure. Family & Residents need to be Aware Sandy McAtee RN Critical Care, CCU, ICU,PEDS ICU, NICU & PRN ( all over the hospital) St Vincent

The staff is so wonderful and a very clean, nice looking place.
Management is incompetent. Level of attention to residents sucks. Kitchen is gross.. mold, abundance of flies, etc etc. NEVER go to any HCF facility if you care about your loved one.
