The only reason I am being generous enough to give 2 stars is because of 2 particular ladies who gave the ablsolute best care to my brother, who recently spent just over 2 weeks there. If it weren''t for LeeAnn and Jen, I think we would have made the decision to get him out of there. I highly recommend the people in charge of staffing take a look at the ones who work there and seem to only be there for a paycheck. 2nd and 3rd shift were awful. Maybe you should conisder having them shadow LeeAnn and Jen to see how it''s done and how to treat people with respect and compassion. I know of 2 times my brothers roommate wasn''t given his night meds after asking....staff was just negligent in bringing them. I did report it for him because the poor man had no one to advocate for him. All light bulbs in the bathroom in the room were burnt out except for 2.....well really only 1 after the flickering one finally burned out. It was mentioned to staff with nothing done til I brought it to the staffs attention the next day. Food was cold at every meal and they didn''t seem to offer much of anything for any type of dietary restrictions, I get it that it''s hard ro find great staff, but some of the workers seemed to zero compassion and zero interest in helping people. Omar, on the rehab staff was excellent. Omar, LeeAnn and Jen all deserve much more than they''re probably being paid. Very sad because I know people who used to feel comfortable with loved ones being in this facility......but those days were long ago.

This facility has not been pleasant for my family and I to deal with. I’d like to exclude Leanne and Jen who were great nurses while my dad was in here, as well as the physical therapy team. They have been wonderful and we are really grateful for all they did. With that said, my father as well as his roommate were not given their meds on multiple occasions. He is in rehab and has serious diet restrictions given his condition and they were not attentive to that. The entire reason of him being there was to try and get him a little stronger and healthier after a hospital stay. His diet is crucial and it was not really followed. When questioned about other choices than the “nightly special” because he shouldn’t be eating that, such attitude was given. We are not questioning to be difficult, we are questioning because what he eats is extremely important and flat out dangerous if not followed. The overnight staff seemed to be the problem in not only their professionalism and attentiveness, but over all attitudes and how they deal with patients. It is hard to hear your loved one isn’t being treated the best when you’re trusting a facility to do so. I understand if somewhere is short staffed and mistakes can happen, but some of what we experienced was just not acceptable. The communication also left a lot to be desired. I just feel like when you work in this type of place, kindness and compassion go a long way. Your delivery and how you communicate with families seeking guidance is everything. You are dealing with stressed families and people in need of proper care for their loved one. I wouldn’t recommend anyone send their family here, unfortunately. It was actually really sad to encounter some of the lack of professionalism and just general compassion and demeanor in a facility where that can go such long way. I hope for the sake of patients and families of loved ones here, that they take the negative feedback and improve. I really hate leaving places negative reviews and I wish we had a great experience, because that’s what I wanted for my dad. Families should know of the major flaws in facilities like this. But again, to the nurses mentioned and I’m sure a few I’m missing, thank you. Your compassion and obvious care for your job showed and we were grateful for you.
